Hi, everyone, now we arrived at the Taipei 101. Look! What amazing it is. It’s not only the tallest building in Taiwan, before this year, it also the tallest in the world. Taipei 101 is 508 meters tall, and it has 101 floors, do you find it? That’s why she named Taipei 101.
Taipei 101 is a multifunctional building; it combines various companies and shopping mall. Especially, there has an indoor observatory on the 89th floor, and the outdoor observatory is on the 91st floor. You can see Taipei City all in 360degree, and enjoy the different feeling for day and night.
Another interesting thing is that in the night, Taipei 101 will become shining; it changes seven colors of rainbow to represent every day. Monday shows the red light. Tuesday shows the orange, and so on. If you stay here for a week, you’ll not miss the variety of colors of Taipei 101.
In some festivals, Taipei 101 will use the lights to make the different words or figures to show on the building to cerebrate it.
Now, you can go around and feel it by yourself. Don’t forget to take some pictures to make a memory.

Next station we will arrive to the Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taiwan. It was also the tallest building in the world before this year. Because DuBai build another building taller than Taipei 101. Now Taipei 101 is the second tallest building in the world.
Taipei 101 is 508 meters tall. It has 101 floors above ground. That is why the building called Taipei 101. Otherwise it also has 5 basements under the ground. Taipei 101 is a multifunctional building. Here combines commerce, finance, entertainment, etc. Many people work here, shop here and eat delicious food here.
The 89th floor is indoor observation floor, and the 91 floor is outdoor observation floor. I will take you to the 89th floor to overlook the beautiful view of Taipei. Do you know how fast we can arrive to the 89th floor from the first floor? Taipei 101 has two fastest elevators. We just have to spend 39 seconds. Maybe you can time later.
The designer used traditional Chinese style to construct Taipei 101. Obviously, you can see that from the 24th floor to the 27th floor, there is a Chinese ancient money in each side of the building. And from the 27th floor to the 90th floor, each 8 floors consists a level. Every level is like a Chinese word “鼎”. It means “Making steady progress”.
Now we are arriving here. You can take some pictures in front of Taipei 101. 10 minutes later, come here and I will take you to see the amazing view of Taipei.

101大樓 Humbert Chu Even though Taipei 101is no longer the highest building of the world since 2004, the Tuned Mass Damper of the building is still the biggest one compare to any other building’s in the world. Most TMD of higher building are set in unobserved place except Taipei 101’s. Taipei 101’s height are 508 meters and there are 101 floors. The TMD is hanged from the 92th floor to 87th floor and just in the central of the building. It’s so awful and obvious in the building that attract hundreds of sightseers come to gaze at the spectacle. Can you image that if there isn’t any shock absorber in a car, how to prevent passengers from bumpy while it is driven. Did you have the experience of playing a swingboat? Most people will feel dizzy while swaying. Just like a tree while wind blows that treetop waver seriously than stem. It’s similarly of the topper floors resident’s feeling in Taipei 101. Architecture is a complicated technical of civilization, TMD is a device against the strong earthquake or breeze of higher building. TMD absorbs the energy of the shock from the building by gale or strong earthquake. It will make residents who living topper floors feel as comfortable as ground. If you walk around Taipei 101, don’t forget to discover the principle of advanced science and technology facility TMD.
